How to Get Involved
Become a Volunteer
The following positions require 21 hours of training, which we provide online and in person.
- Client Care Advocate: a commitment of one shift of 3 hours per week. Duties include meeting with clients, intake, calling clients.
- Client Mentors (for men only): A commitment varies with need, approximately once monthly. Duties include meeting with male clients, intake, calling male clients.
The following positions some training.
- Reception: duties include answering the phone, greeting visitors, general duties.
- Clothing Closet: duties include processing clothing donations and maintaining clothing room.
- Community Event Helper: duties include volunteering at community events and fundraisers (maximum 4 times per year)
The following positions require no training.
- Laundry for the Centre – a commitment of washing/drying (a maximum of) 1 load of donate baby items per week to be picked up and dropped off at the centre by the volunteer (unscented products please).
- Social Media Management – a commitment of updating our social media periodically. This can be done from home.
- Fundraising – a commitment to being a part of a fundraising committee. A minimum of 4 times per year at venues outside of the centre.

Become a Member on Our Board of Directors
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute and support an essential ministry in our local communities. We provide board training. The board of directors provides governance to the Centre by meeting monthly. Also, a board member attends monthly prayer meetings (8 are virtual and 4 are in person), assists with fundraisers and financially contributes to the ministry.
